The Language of Flowers

Since the beginning of time, flowers have been used to express human emotions. They have been found in Neanderthal graves and have been an important part of many cultures and religions throughout the world. However, the Language of Flowers reached its climax in Victorian England -"flower readers" commanded a high price for their knowledgeable interpretation of the 'meanings' of flower bouquets sent between friends, enemies, and lovers.
